Health Research Symposium 2017 organised by the Food and Health Bureau (FHB) – ‘Creating Knowledge in Complex System for Sustainable Community Health’

Professor Jorm was invited to give a keynote presentation at the Health Research Symposium in Hong Kong in June 2017.  Professor Jorm’s presentation was titled ‘Big Data in Health and Medicine: Issues and Challenges’.  The Symposium was covered in a press release which is available at: http://www.info.gov.hk/gia/general/201706/16/P2017061600372.htm.

Professor Jorm also attend the pre-symposium sharing sessionwith healthcare professionals from Hospital Authority (HA) and academics. The Hospital Authority (HA) is a statutory body responsible for managing Hong Kong's public-funded hospitals. Professor Jorm shared her knowledge and expertise on the topic of ‘Using big data for policy-relevant research: building trust and partnerships’.
